Phoenix and Wattpad VS Araleesi and The Magicis Chronicles.

  September 8, 2015

I joined Wattpad. You can find me as JDawnFantasyTales.

I began writing this story, Phoenix Always, as a side project to Tears of Synder, the third book The Magicis Chronicles. But Phoenix quickly started fighting Araleesi for my attention, and she has won. Phoenix Always will be a novella, probably around 50,000 words, and I expect to  have the first draft completed in about six weeks.  However, each chapter of Phoenix is posted on Wattpad after I write it. This is only the unedited first draft. The final novella will be shopped around for publishing.

This means that Tears of Synder is being pushed back until the first draft of Phoenix is complete. It also mean that TOS will not  be released in the winter as originally planned. I'm hoping now for a summer release of TOS.

I had planned to start writing the Prism Trilogy before the year was over, but that has also been pushed back. I'm hooked on Phoenix!

Interview with the Louisiana Anthology of Literature.

  September 8, 2015

A few months back, I was honored to give a phone interview with the gentleman of the Louisiana Anthology of Literature. The interview is live on their pocast, and can be listened to in two parts here. Just click on my name.

Never mind my voice. I promise I'm not a child. It just records that way.

These are the designs that will grace the hard covers of the books, which will be available October 23.

Prints in the Works

  June 16, 2015

Both manuscripts are currently undergoing editing to become printer ready. They will contain the format that I always wanted them to be, but can't be done through Amazon Kindle. The most significant change we will see is the insertion of handwriting. There are several places where we read handwritten records from Araleesi, and even a note from Ash, and I have the handwriting/font of each character picked out already. Unfortunately, Kindle doesn't support most fonts. But at least I get to have my way in the hard copies!
